Resiliency is a life skill which is most helpful since we may all, at one time or another, face adversity. By increasing students' competencies and self-esteem, fostering development of coping skills and perseverance, and helping them recognize and utilize available supports, we can help foster growth and work towards helping to develop their ability to successfully deal with a difficult or unexpected situation. The attached NASP article describes several of the ways we can assist our children develop this important sense of resiliency.
